HOW TO SUBMIT Licensure or Certification Applications:
• Notarized Application with photo and fee
o Can be received by email to begin processing (email to krysta.babin@la.gov)
o Original MUST be received by mail before license is issued*
Please Note: In order to apply for licensure in Louisiana, you must first be certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Please visit bacb.com for more information on national certification.

The Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board offers assistance to Behavior Analysts in obtaining licensure.

Any results from background checks received by LBAB for which we do not have an application will be destroyed (per FBI and LSP) and your applicant will have to repeat the background check including fees. We will also be required to report the names to LSP.
No one can have fingerprinting done without first submitting an application to LBAB or having an application completed to simultaneously submit on the day of their appointment with IdentoGo. The application must be received by the board office by end of day. The Privacy Act Statement which is now part of the RLT application must be signed PRIOR to fingerprinting.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2026, THE FBI WILL IMPLEMENT AN INCREASE FROM $13.00 TO $15.00 FOR A FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK. THE LSP FEE REMAINS THE SAME. THIS $2.00 INCREASE WILL BE REFLECTED ON ALL BACKGROUND CHECKS FEES THROUGH IDENTOGO.
